Moab’s most spectacular summit in an other-worldly desert landscape!
Ancient Art tower arguably holds the most unique summit in the Moab desert. Moderate rock climbing brings us to the “boardwalk”, guarding it’s skinny corkscrew summit perched 500 feet off the valley floor. This spectacular outing is a great introduction to desert tower climbing and will certainly get your heart racing as you cross the airy “boardwalk”, surmount the “diving board” and reach the tiny, fragile summit.

Herb was my guide on a multi-pitch climb at Ancient Art. He is very experienced and a great guide for my first time experience on a multi-pitch! There were some parts I was nervous about but he is very good at talking you through it and patient as I worked through it. He is also a great encourager and has a lot of knowledge about the area. I felt very comfortable in his ability and expertise. I would definitely use Desert Highlights again!
