We’ll begin the day in a half-day canyon tour of your choice, then eat lunch along the Colorado River and finish the afternoon with a scenic float each in our own inflatable boat!

Start off in the Medieval Chamber with 3 miles of hiking and 2 long, dramatic rappels, or step it up in Entrajo Canyon with some climbing, shimmying, and wading through water with a couple of rappels mixed in. Either way, we’ll round out the day with a fun and scenic float on the Colorado River! With these lightweight boats, we can choose a section of river that is best for your group – mellow flatwater or fun waves!

This option is great for summer! Get an early start in the morning while it’s still cool for the canyoneering and rappelling, and then cool off in the hot hours of the day with some rafting on the river!

We did the Medieval Chamber & Packraft trip. It was a blast our guide Ben was knowledgeable patient and experienced. The hike and repel were great. Very intimate experience as it was only the four of us and our guide. As for the white water part if you are going to white water this particular sections of the Colorado river the only way to go is a pack raft. The rapids we’re fun but not too intense. We saw a few other bigger rafts on the river and it looks very lame. With the pack raft it was a completely different perspective/experience ton’s of fun. As far as I know they are the only company in Moab to offer this so if you have any intention of White water rafting in Moab in the fall this is the only way to go.

Herb our guide treated us to a beautiful day trip to Medieval Chamber and Morning Glory Arch. The repels were amazing and a great experience. Next time we will be taking the full day guide with more repels. Herb also give is a guided tour of the area pointing out all the flowers and trees. I t was a truly spectacular day and I would recommend Desert Highlights to all visiting the Moab area.

We strongly recommend Desert Highlights! This trip was the highlight of our weeklong trip to Utah! The Entrajo canyon and Colorado River packrafting was an amazing day that we will remember warmly for a decades! Our guide (Jake) was an informative, organized and encouraging coach who shared his outdoor passions and leadership skills with our family of four.
